Imagine having a crush,
On a girl you consider a friend.
You wished to be together,
Until the very end.
Finally the time came
And the dream came true.
You and her expressed your feelings,
And there was something new.
You laid for an hour,
Getting closer inch by inch.
Your hands brushing together,
And finally she clinched.
For the next few hours,
You and her would flirt.
She was expressing great emotions,
You knew you wouldn’t get hurt.
Holding hands, head to head,
Laughing for a while.
Your heart was beating fast,
Faster than the Nile.
Although it was very awkward,
Something you never expected.
You and her both
Enjoyed every second.
Finally you arrived,
And were bound to go home satisfied.
Then the time came,
And you had to say goodbye.
The very next day,
The mood was very weird.
You walked up to greet her.
You noticed as you neared,
Something wasn’t right,A feeling you had feared.
She walked away speechless
As your eyes began to tear.
You both remained silent,
For the rest of the day.
You knew nothing would be the same,
In any sort of way.
As the day got nearer
To the night sky,
You saw her running up
In the corner of your eye.
She said she needed to speak to you
And that it was very urgent.
You know this means bad or good,
It means this is the moment.
She hands you the note,
Folded hamburger style.
You know this isn’t just another note
To throw into the pile.
You slowly open it, very nervous,
Almost to go berserk.
This is the moment,
Your heart starts to hurt.
You finally get it open,
And read what she wrote.
Your heart sinks down to your feet,
And there’s a lump in your throat.
She claims you were a mistake,
And it never should’ve taken place.
You’re so angry inside,
She couldn’t tell you face to face.
She doesn’t want any part of you,
And you don’t comprehend.
All you want at this moment
Is for your life to end.
You wonder how she could
Do such a thing to you
You find yourself once again
Wishing your life was through.
And the way she worded it,
Like you’re a big mistake.
Many things you’re thinking know,
She has to be half-baked.
You think she would have to be
To do such an action.
To one of her closest friends,
She should’ve known your reaction.
You know this is the end of it,
Your heart cracked in two.
You want her more than anything
And there’s nothing you can do.
So angry, about to blow.
How could she do this to you?
For a day your life was better,
A feeling which was new.
After days of sorrow,
Trying to hide,
She has became the only thing
On your wrecked mind.
You write her a note
Saying your just fine.
But deep down, in your heart,
You know that is a lie.
You tell her your fine
With not being a pair.
It hurts so much,
Your heart continues to tear.
You threw your heart out to her,
Hoping for the best.
But you only got one night,
Now you want the rest.
You thought you were
Gonna have the girl
That you’ve always dreamed about
You thought your heart
Was gonna get the part
That it has been without.
But that’s where you were wrong,
You thought and now she’s gone.
You better say goodbye
That loves gonna die.
Now you’re wishing
You could go back.
And change all the things
That you sadly lacked.
But you can’t
And everything’s wrong.
There goes the love
Your heart will forever long.
Imagine if your dreams
Were to come true.
Imagine if your crush
Secretly liked you,
Imagine if she denied it all,
And crushed your perfect dreams.
Well, I don’t have to imagine,
Because it happened to me
On a girl you consider a friend.
You wished to be together,
Until the very end.
Finally the time came
And the dream came true.

A Beautiful Thought
Oh, we're so brilliant, aren't we?
We're so freaking lovely.
We're filled with glowing rainbow pride
And we're so pretty it's ugly
Our self-made wounds throb with beauty
And you'll paint your face with hypocrisy
We're everything we're believed to be
We're saviors and artists and celebrities
We're gulping down ego and inhaling pride
We're gestating self-worth in our insides
We're icons of envy to all of our peers
Self-assured by attention attained all these years
I'm something you need and something you're not
She's almost so hideous that it's something I want
But I did say almost
(But you did say want)
Oh, we're such liars

My Queer Essay
Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, Transqueer, Transsexual, Questioning or Queer
(All in America)
Being anything other then straight is very difficult in our society. If you are attracted to the same gender, or do not identify as the gender you were born in (i.e. Queer), it is hard. That's why queer youth are two to five times more likely to attempt suicide then straight youth. Some may wonder why this is. I have no doubts in my mind. Society tells us that queer is bad; between slurs, stereotypes presented in the media, and harassment, and not having equal rights, the message is clear.
One of my best friends is a young man named Eli. H

Insomnia
I'm conscious. I'm conscious.
I'll always be conscious.
I'm not just not sleeping but I'm so God damn conscious.
I can't close my eyes because my ears are alive
They cradle the sounds that sound just like light
I'm conscious. I'm conscious.
It's dark and I'm conscious.
Sensations are sounds that keep me awake
Gnawing my nerves to make me insane
Rattling feelings to wake up my brain
Hours of awareness that bring on the pain
I'm conscious. I'm CONSCIOUS.
Can't you tell that I'm CONSCIOUS?!
Hurting in places that don't have a name
Insomnia throbbing like night pounding rain
If I could close my eyes I'd be alright again
If I could
